Coaching is a thought-provoking, creative, and collaborative process used to help individuals pursue their passions and strengths. A coaching relationship is designed based on the client’s interests and goals. Discussions, questions, and requests are used to help you as you reflect, identify goals, develop strategies, take action, and adapt to challenges along the way.
We brainstorm with you and make observations based on our expertise. While we may have expertise in a particular area, the primary focus of a coach is to help you make choices to achieve your goals.
Coaching is not psychotherapy or counseling. Counseling will focus on past events and how those events relate to your thoughts and feelings in the present. While coaching does pay attention to your feelings, coaching focuses on the present and future and is oriented toward applying learning to move forward in practical ways.
